Find out how you can use rongoā Māori as part of your rehabilitation if you have an injury covered by ACC.
Find out how to register with ACC as a rongoā Māori practitioner, how ACC pay for rongoā Māori services, and how clients can access these services.
Cliniko is a complete practice management application used by thousands of healthcare practitioners in more than 95 countries worldwide. Manage schedules, treatment notes, invoices, payments and lots more. It works great for solo practitioners, large teams and anything in between.
ACC is introducing a new range of kaupapa Māori services to ensure services that are by Māori, with
Māori, and for Māori are available for all injured New Zealanders, to help them rehabilitate from a covered
injury. This includes giving better access to rongoā Māori (traditional Māori healing). We do this as part of
our commitment to improve options, care, experience and outcomes for Māori.
The Northland DHB partnered with the Rongoā community to co-design the kaupapa across Te Tai Tokerau. Rongoā Māori services under the Te Hiku pilot in the Kaitaia hospital will operate from ‘Te Waka Hauora’ every Wednesday and are available to all.
Nau mai haere mai whānau!
