Can I enter on the day?

Only the Walk 4 life is available for on the day-entry. Entry for all other races must be made before the 14th March 2022.

How do I get to the start of my race?

A bus transfer is included in each Marathon and Half-Marathon individual ticket.

Pick-up locations:
  • Korou Kore Marae, Paripari Domain in Ahipara; or
  • Kohatu Fit, Kaitaia.

Please check the Race Day Timetable for pick up times dependent on the event you choose.

Where do I find the race start times?​

When and where do I collect my race bib?​​

At the pre-registration evening: Friday 19th March, Korou Kore Marae.

What do I do if I have an issue on the day of the event?​​

Are there support stations along the course?​

Yes, our runners will be well supported with water and aid stations every 3 km of the course.  

What footwear is appropriate?​

Comfortable running shoes or barefoot - at your own risk.

What do I do if I am injured or sick?​

Contact the Race Director here. If you are injured or sick during the race please flag a support person in hi-vis gear.

Can I use a music device during my run?​

Yes, at your own risk.

Where do I wear my race bib?​

Safety-pinned to your front where it cannot be obstructed from view.

Is there parking available?

Yes. PARIPARI DOMAIN, AHIPARA: Anywhere along Foreshore road is safe, or in the adjacent FREE carpark.

Is this a child-friendly event?

Yes, this is a whānau friendly day out with activities and entertainment for everyone. 

THMCT promotes and practice drug-free, smoke-free and alcohol-free event.

Will I be able to get a post-race massage?​

Yes, there will be both Maori traditional massage and physio/remedial massage available. This is at an additional subsidised cost.

Where do I leave the belongings that I don't use at the start-line?

Properly labelled in the bins provided on the race bus which will be taken to the finish line.

Where is the lost property located?

THMCT'S official tent in the village located at Paripari Domain.
